Our SMDC Company program is designed for students ages 8 and up who are ready to take their dance training to the next level. This program is by audition only, and is a year long commitment. 

​

This program requires specific hours of training per week, assigned performing groups, and training in different styles of dance in order to promote a well-rounded dance education. In their classes, Company dancers prioritize ballet and jazz technique, flexibility and strength, as well as style and artistry. Dancers are required to adhere to a strict dress code and meet attendance requirements. SMDC Co. also participates in additional performance opportunities throughout the year such as "The Nutcracker", a spring production, end of the year recital, and local showcases and events. Tuition breakdown is given out to families after auditions in May and is posted on the studio schedule. If a dancer is offered a position in the Company Program, their schedule will be provided for them before sessions begin.

Dress Code: Company ballet classes are required to wear any black ballet leotard, pink ballet tight, pink ballet shoes.  Jazz and Tap students may pull athletic shorts over their leotard but must have appropriate jazz or tap shoes to change into after ballet. Hip Hop students may wear athletic clothing such as sweats, leggings, and T-shirts, as well as tennis shoes. Leotards, ballet/jazz/tap shoes are available at the studio for purchase.
